xShare webinar – Buying innovation: the Format (EEHRxF)

|
8/05/25

xShare aims to build procurement capacity across the digital‑health ecosystem by translating the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) into actionable tender requirements. The webinar inaugurates this capacity‑building line, framing procurement as a strategic lever for buying interoperability rather than isolated products. Key EU rules (e.g., Directive 2014/24/EU: Art. 42 technical specifications; Recital 74 use of standards; innovation‑partnership procedure) set the legal context for contracting authorities to demand EEHRxF‑compliant solutions.

This webinar aims to:

  • Raise awareness, clarifying how EEHRxF can be embedded in public tenders.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange, sharing practical cases of innovative procurement (PCP, framework agreements, competitive dialogue).
  • Support network expansion, connecting X‑Nets and external procurers/industry for future collaboration.
  • Collect input, gathering questions and pain‑points to feed xShare project guidelines.

Target audiences:

  • Hospital and regional health‑authority procurement officers
  • National digital‑health agencies & policy‑makers
  • Vendors (SMEs & large industry) developing EEHRxF‑ready products
  • Legal & consulting experts in health procurement
  • XShare and other related projects (e.g., i2X, XiA) partners, X‑Nets, EC representatives, academia
